New Leaders for 2008

Posted by Emily on November 26, 2007

Every year our school votes 2 school Captains but before all that happens they have to apply to become either a Student Executive, Peer Mediator or both!

So many applicants so little time! Eventually a decision was made on who would move on to  the next stage…. INTERVIEWS!  Now interviews were 1 of the hardest parts of the long road to being school captain, There are 4 adults and 2 of this years leaders they were Mrs Knight , Ms Leonard , Ms Harrison and Mrs Gribert, a parent. The 2 leaders were Me and Yilmaz. We went through alot of yr5’s who really want to be a school leader, it was very tiring but very good experience. Today we are going to find out who is going to make it to the next stage …. THE SPEECHES!!!

    Hi Emily!
I can’t believe I made it. I was so nervous at the interview. All the people who applied heard that everyone had got a position in something. I only got prefect though. But still, that’s enough for me! Anyway, the answer to your question, do we have fireworks at Diwali, no, but we do have sparklers taht we play with.

    Anyway, see ya!

    Hi emily!
Well, I admit the speeches took a while! And they bored everyone out, but they had to be done. And I think it was a a popularity contest as usual.
I think they should let the teachers see who did the best speech. They would chose more fairly.
But I think you and Yilmaz did a fantastic job. And you deserve a reward!!!
